Curtan Leste is a Sordish politician and a member of the United Sordland Party, who has been serving as the mayor of Antica since 1940. He previously served as the mayor of Benfi from 1936 to 1940. He is the longest serving mayor in the country.
Born in Anrica, Leste’s family moved to Benfi for his father's career as a lawyer. Having his primary and secondary education in Benfi, he later moved to the capital to attend the Holsord State University. After his studies, he worked as a correspondent for the Holsord Post newspaper. He also founded the National Nurists Association to fight against the ‘decreasing religious and moral values among the youth.’
In 1930, he returned to Benfi to start his own business. He managed a small seaside hotel and a restaurant before joining the United Sordiand Party. He started his political career when he ran as a mayor for the district of Almonds in Benfi and got elected.
In 1936, he was elected mayor of Benfi, He organized the famous Benfi Culture Festival as part of the Day of Descension festivities, which brought millions of Nurist tourists to the city over the years.
