Denis Stahler is a Sordish political theorist and politician who serves as the current leader of the Communist Party of Sordland (CPS). Originally starting politics in the original Communist Party which existed between 1924–1928, he later joined the People's Freedom and Justice Party (PFJP), and in 1950 he took part in the refoundation of the CPS.

Stahler became an exponent of communism during his studies in the University of Haelm in Valgsland. After earning his doctorate in political economy, he moved to Holsord in 1927, where he hoped to practice law. He joined the Communist Party of Sordland (1924–1928) and faced persecution under |General Eduard Luderin after the ban on the CPS in 1928. Fearing the complete annihilation of Sordish socialists by the fascist military junta, he moved to Valgsland and assisted the Red Youth by establishing connections between the Sordish and Valgslandian socialists, with the help of the ruling People's Party of Valgsland.

After the end of the Sordish Civil War, he returned to Sordland and worked as a lawyer in Holsord, often defening other socialists and left-wing activists. He was involved with smuggling Malenyevist propaganda from United Contana to Sordland, and wrote and published his own socialist magazine, Tussle. He wrote extensively against militarism and authoritarianism. Because of his political theories on communism and his physical resemblance to Valgslandian leader Emmerich Hegel, he was given the nickname "Sordish Hegel" by his admirers.

Despite being regarded as a Malenyevist in Sordland, he has written many articles criticizing Leon Malenyev's policies, arguing that Malenyevism is a distortion of the real ideals of Marcian socio-economics and philosophy. He also heavily protested against the United Contanan Navy's presence in Eastern Merkopa. He joined the PFJP as a social-democrat in 1936, hoping to enter the Grand National Assembly, but he was denied top positions in the candidate lists because of his known communist views, and he failed to be elected.

In 1950, Stahler and several other socialist politicians and political theorists refounded the Communist Party of Sordland. He wrote a manifesto titled "Sordish Socialism", which caused a schism within the party between the followers of Stahler's philosophy and the Malenyevists. Ahead of the party's first elections in 1953, Stahler invited famous communist poet Bernard Circas to join the CPS, but was rejected. Circas would go on to be elected to the Assembly as an Independent.

In the 1953 elections, Stahler received a little under 8% of the general vote, and as such CPS failed to pass the 10% election threshold for representation in the Assembly. After the election of President Rayne, Stahler redoubled his efforts to increase popular support for the CPS by opening new offices in every major city in Sordland
