    Role in the Valgslandian Revolution

Hegel played a leading role in the Valgslandian Revolution of 1920 and the subsequent establishment of the Democratic Republic of Valgsland. He was a political commissar during the revolution who fought alongside the famous revolutionary leader Wilhelm Ulbrik, who was inspired by the Malenyevist revolution in United Contana. Hegel extensively helped Ulbrik with the establishment of the People's Party of Valgsland.

With Chancellor Ulbrik's help, he worked his way up the Valgslandian hierarchy. He supported Ulbrik's arrests and purges of thousands of anti-communists in the 1930s. He strongly supported the decolonisation of the continents of Rika and Xina, convincing the Valgslandian government to give military and financial support to various revolutionary independence movements.

    Chancellorship and de-Ulbrikization

After Ulbrik's death in 1940, Hegel was elected by the People's Party as Chancellor of Valgsland. He initiated a program of de-Ulbrikization, denouncing the purges of the 1930s (which he himself had previously supported and in fact participated in), and enacting many reforms which ushered in a less repressive era in Valgsland.

Hegel re-organized the People's Party and distanced it from orthodox Malenyevism, promoting his own doctrine of "Valgslandian Socialism". Nevertheless, he brought the country closer to United Contana both economicalls and diplomatically. He also greatly improved relations with the former colonies of the Empire of Valgos.
