Albin Clavin is a Sordish politician and member of the Grand National Assembly since 1949. He is a member of the United Sordland Party, and regarded as the leader of the Reformist faction within the party. He has gained a reputation in recent years as an aggressive debater, and has given many controversial speeches in the Assembly. The media has labeled him the face of a new generation of the USP.
He was a strong supporter of Ewald Alphonso, and was instrumental in passing the free market reforms of the latter's presidency. After the recession, however, he abandoned his previous support for Alphonso, and joined the calls for a party congress to elect a new presidential nominee – nominating himself, but failing to gain significant support within the party (which would go on to nominate current president Anton Rayne).
Under the Rayne administration, Clavin has called for reforms to the Constitution of 1929.
