It's funny, the story is not too bad, the characters are great.
John Cena is perfect for this role. He has a great body, so they can show him fighting naked in full lighting, instead of the people-wearing-black-fighting-in-the-dark scenes Hollywood always do in which you can't see shit. His WWE-ish fight scenes are 50 times more enjoyable than the dumb ass superpower fights in usual superhero movies. And fighting with his fist instead of superpowers definately makes his character more real. He can be chaotic and goofy, which is perfect for the humor of the show, and he can be serious and sensitive when it's needed. And he's just the 'whitest' looking guy, which is again perfect for the role.
