During the Chicago Shamrock Dinner, one of the firm's clients is murdered. As Alicia represented him, she is asked by the police to aid in their investigation. Unsure of her obligations towards her deceased client, she is pressured into divulging information that could potentially break attorney-client privilege. Diane is approached by Peter to fill the seat of a recently deceased Illinois Supreme Court Judge if he wins the governorship. Also in attendance to the Shamrock dinner is Republican gubernatorial candidate, Mike Kristeva, who ends up in a confrontation with Peter.
